Why these matchups go this way

A second opinion written by AI from each hero's kit (shown separately from the main matrix, so it may not match it exactly).

🟢 The Thing beats easily

Black Panther His anti-dive is built exactly to stop a melee assassin going for the backline.
Wolverine In a straight melee clash, his raw health and toughness win out.
Venom Same problem: two dive brawlers, but his anti-dive kit punishes the entry better.

🔴 The Thing struggles against

Punisher Sustained ranged damage wears him down before he can close the space.
Storm Aerial pressure keeps him out of range, canceling his melee strength.
Hela Anti-heal shuts off any sustain right when he needs it most in a direct trade.
